Fitness, Golf Clubs, Attitude
Develop your golf game with these tips on both mental and physical aspects. From fitness and flexibility to the right golfing equipment there is sure to be some tips for all golfers below.
- Hip Rotation
- Work on making your hips, hamstrings, shoulders and triceps more flexible. You need them to be flexible because in a well-executed swing, your hips rotate.
- Feet Factor
- If your feet are too close together, you’ll lose your balance. If they’re too far apart, you will lose your flexibility.
- Tee Time
- Make sure your tee is high enough in the grass. Place your club head behind the ball. You should be able to see half to three-quarters of the ball above your club head.
- In the Bunker
- Bunker shots are not as hard as they look. After the shot, the club should finish almost as high as after a full swing.
- Upgrade Your Clubs
- If you have an old set of clubs, consider investing in a new driver, putter and wedges. The more forgiving design of modern clubs means you don’t need to be as accurate when you strike the ball. Get a professional at the golf shop to custom-fit your clubs for you.
- The right attitude
- Golf is as much a mental game as a physical one. To focus solely on the task at hand, try to block out all noise and distractions around you. For more golf tips, see www.golfingtips.com.au
